The Living Memorial Sculpture Garden will hold its Memorial Day Ceremony on Sunday, May 28, 2023, at 2 p.m. This ceremony will honor veterans who have served our country during war, conflicts, and peacetime. Newly engraved names of veterans will be read and dedicated. The LMSG is located on Hwy 97 approximately 13 miles north of Weed, CA.
Master of Ceremonies will be Robert Menzies, Veteran and Board member. The program speaker will be Robert Bicego, Yreka Attorney at Law and former Yreka Mayor. The music will be provided by Monica Kinney, Cantor at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Bagpipers Bob Skinner and Molly Navarro will open and close the ceremony. Invocation and Benediction will be given by Chaplains from the Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Department. The Marine Corps League, Siskiyou Detachment 936, will be the Color Guard for the ceremony. The names of veterans honored on this day will be read by Suzanne Breceda and Robert Menzies.
Please bring your own seating. All parking is on the periphery of the parking lot of the two Walls. Port-a-potties will be provided. Please, for the safety of all, including pets, keep all pets on a short leash.
